What the work was for:

DECC has a remit to invest in technologies that will provide significant benefits to the UK in terms of the secure supply of renewable and low carbon energy, and require that investment decisions are evidence-based to ensure that public money is used in the most cost effective manner.  This project examined UK inputs to the current and projected nuclear programmes to determine how much could be deduced on the areas likely to achieve UK benefit from DECC investment.
