Lynda brings substantial academic and professional stature in the fields of environmental law and policy to IDM. IDM draws significant benefit from her on-going research interests, which currently centre on the integration of legal and scientific approaches to environmental management.

  • Board Member Natural Resources Wales
  • Member of the UK Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM)
  • A member of the Radioactive Waste Management Advisory Committee (RWMAC)
  • Independent environmental advisor to Dwr Cymru Welsh Water
  • Chair of South and West Wales Wildlife Trust
  • Instrumental in formulating UK Nirex’s transparency policy, and the external assessor for their enquiry into their own Corporate Governance
  • Member of the Board of Trustees for WWF-UK
Lynda’s career highlights demonstrate a reputable track record and she brings intellectual clarity, regulatory awareness and academic rigour to bear on any issue being addressed by an IDM team.  She has provided advice on nuclear opportunities for the Trawsfynydd site, on coastal and marine conservation of a Gulf state, and on the regulatory justification of UK new build reactors.  Lynda also leads the Nuclear Technology Education Consortium Policy, Regulation & Licensing module.
